Retail Store Manager

APPLY TO BECOME A RETAIL STORE MANAGER

Pay: $22 / hr. plus team-structured commission bonuses

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations.
  • Checkout customers, educating on loyalty program, donations to The National Park Foundation, and any upcoming events. 
  • Hire, train, and oversee staff.
  • Create and oversee staffing schedules. 
  • Ensure the store looks spotless, organized, and stocked at all times. 
  • Respond to customer questions, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Deliver excellent service, foster a friendly and positive work environment, and ensure high levels of both customer and team satisfaction.
  • Create and institute business strategies to attract new customers, drive foot traffic, incentivize loyalty, and enhance the store experience. 
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store window / seasonal displays.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels. Schedule drop-offs and stock-ups with vendors.
  • Manage a social media content calendar.
  • Manage in-store art shows, events, and pop-ups. 
  • Ability to manage the store and take care of responsibilities on both high and low capacity days. 

Requirements

  • The willingness to be a team player and pitch-in where needed.
  • Strong leadership, sales, customer service, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability and confidence to intuitively recommend pieces that pair well with customers' choices. 
  • A minimum of 2-3 years working in a retail environment, preferably in a managerial role. 
  • A minimum availability of 24-32 hours / week (with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position). Flexibility to work on weekends required.

Retail Store Associate

Pay: $16 / hr. plus team-structured commission bonuses

Responsibilities

  • Clean, organize, and stock the store. 
  • Provide a warm greeting and excellent customer service to visitors. 
  • Checkout customers, educating on loyalty program, donations to The National Park Foundation, and any upcoming events. 
  • Assist in arranging promotional material and in-store window and seasonal displays.
  • Assist with in-store art shows, events, and pop-ups. 
  • Assist with content creation for social media.
  • Assist with vendor drop-offs / stock-ups.
