Are you curious about the magic of encaustic wax? In this four-hour, hands-on encaustic workshop, students will:
- Learn the basics of encaustic painting and different materials that can be used with the medium
- Experiment with different techniques such as accretion, image transfers, shellac burn, mark-making, and mixed media
- Cover encaustic essentials such as safety, materials, and studio setup
- All materials & supplies
- A small practice panel
- A ready-to-hang ¾” cradled 6x6 wood panel and ¾” cradled 8x8 wood panel.
- Light refreshments and snacks
- 2 Aspen Wood Slices for $10 (approx. 3" diameter)
- Ornaments are pre-drilled. String or ribbon will be provided.
